It is hard to imagine being married to someone for 50 years, but Susan and Bill Miller made it look easy. We recently had the pleasure of catering their 50th wedding anniversary celebration at the Train Depot Museum in downtown Aiken. It was a small affair with big-time admiration for these two who have persevered for the past half-century hand in hand!

What was on the Menu?

The guests not only enjoyed my famous shrimp and grits, they also had pork tenderloin with bacon jam, chicken marsala, mashed potatoes and my awesome sautéed vegetables…which is a family secret recipe! I am proud to say that our guests were all a member of the clean plate club! Nearly everyone came back for seconds.

The Venue

Although the Aiken Train Depot Museum is quaint, we were able to transform it into a perfect celebration location. The guests had a great time looking over the miniature train display while partaking in dinner and drinks. The entire night was a success, but that is no mystery since it was such a wonderful event to celebrate!

Another Success!

We would like to thank Susan and Bill Miller for allowing us to cater such an amazing and special evening! They were gracious, appreciative, and just about the best guests we could have asked for! We hope to be a part of their family celebrations and yours for years to come!

At Catering by the Deft Chef we understand that it is a special day for our guests and strive to make each menu planned individual and catered. After all, we put the “cater” in catering! Happy Anniversary to the Millers from our entire staff! For more information about my menus or to reserve your date, contact us today!
