Anyone who is involved in the catering business knows one hard and steadfast fact; it is not easy! There might be a lot of people who can cook well, but only those who have the right approach, excellent time management skills, and professional training, survive. So when choosing the right caterer for your event, it is important to know who they are and who they are not. I thought I would take this opportunity to let you know exactly who I am and what I am all about!

Not a Restaurant Trying to Supplement Income

A lot of “caterers” are really just restaurant owned mobile units that are trying to increase a restaurant’s revenue. Serving food in a restaurant and catering are two entirely different things and require different skills. I know the ins and the outs of catering and believe that you should focus on one thing only, and do it right. I am not in the restaurant business, I am in the catering one!

A Part Time Catering With Other Interests and Jobs!

Many caterers that come and go think they can cook part time and do just fine. Instead of focusing on catering they work in other areas and on other interests. I am a chef through and through, and that is what I do. This isn’t a part time gig for me. Catering is my life and what I focus on because I am passionate about catering.

I Didn’t Simply Have an Idea to Cater and Act on it

I didn’t wake up one day and think “I’m going to be a caterer, ” I took the hard road of training in the best kitchens, putting in the time and effort, and receiving many accolades and expertise training. It has taken me many years of hard work, blood, sweat and tears to get to where I am professionally. And I intend to make it my life’s work and passion, not a passing whim.

I Have the Right “Tools”

It matters not what industry that you work in, the key to success is having the right “tools”. Catering isn’t just about knowing how to cook. You have to have the right equipment to ensure that the quality of your food is consistent, hot, and exactly as it would be if it came out of a kitchen. I not only know what I am doing, I have all the right things to make excellent food happen.

I Know What Others Don’t

The key to being an expert is knowing what you have to know. Unlike other caterers who simply don’t even know what they don’t know, I do. I

If you don’t know me personally, I have lived in the same town for decades, built a reputation because I care, took the time to get the skills necessary to succeed, and will go to great lengths to make sure that you have the best occasion possible, every time. When choosing the right caterer it is important to know the person behind the scenes. Contact Catering by the Deft Chef today to discuss how we can make your event spectacular!
